Fatal Attraction on Twitter

Twitter may have been widely accepted by the poker community, but one high profile player who doesn’t broadcast his life to the world 140 characters at a time is Patrik Antonius. The only reason I know that Mantonius doesn’t tweet is because he recently told the world that there’s a stalker using his name on the popular social network.

Someone pretending to be Patrik has been tweeting insults about Doyle Brunson being “senile” and easily beaten at the high stakes games in Bobby’s Room at the Bellagio. The living legend, whose own use of Twitter is well-documented, didn’t take the harsh words lightly. He demanded an explanation from Patrik, who let Texas Dolly know he had nothing to do with the matter and then made sure to get the word out to the rest of the poker community.

“I had never heard of Twitter before this summer,” Patrik told Coinflip.com. “I don’t have a Twitter account and I have never posted a single word there. I have no interest in posting updates about my comings or goings. I’m a private person and I want to keep my private life to myself.”

I guess this is how you know you are "famous" when people start to pretend that they are you.
